Grades 9-12

Find out what it takes to ensure a great future for the individual animals, and entire species. Participants act as animal care professionals, learning about animal genetics, behavior, and natural history.

Sleepover includes dinner, continental breakfast, a T-shirt and a water bottle.

This sleepover is designed for scout groups, school groups, and other youth organizations, and includes:

  • Explore select areas to observe animals and learn about their history at Busch Gardens
  • Learn about the Species Survival Plan and its role in global conservation and animal health
  • Work in small groups as Animal Care Professionals to learn how to make decisions that affect the lives of animals all over the world
  • Analyze the dominant and recessive traits in pairs of animals to determine the most likely phenotypes
  • Wake up and meet one of Myombe Reserve's Animal Care Specialists and learn about their passion for Great Apes
