Grades 9-12

Get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to ensure a great future for the individual animals, and entire species.  Participants experience behind-the-scenes tours of the Zoo Nutrition Center and Zoo Hospital, and act as animal care professionals learning about animal health, behavior, and natural history.

This sleepover is designed for scouts, school groups and other youth organizations, and experiences include:

  • Learning about the Species Survival Plan and its role in global conservation & animal health.
  • Working in small groups as Animal Care Professionals to learn how to make decisions that affect the lives of animals all over the world.
  • Waking up to meet one of Myombe Reserves' Animal Care Specialists,  and learning about their passion for Great Apes
