Accommodations
Camp fees include lodging, meals and snacks, supplies and equipment, an Adventure Camp T-shirt and a water bottle. Throughout your camp session, our staff takes full responsibility for 24-hour supervision of your students.
Your group will stay at Mzinga Lodge, Busch Gardens’ on-property, air-conditioned dormitory. Mzinga Lodge features a commons area and a classroom for activities, workshops, dining, entertainment, and crafts. Campers sleep four to a bunkroom, with two bunk beds separated by a corridor. Male and female campers have separate sleeping quarters, locker rooms, and bathroom facilities. Each bathroom facility contains four private shower stalls, sinks, and toilets.
Animal encounters and activities keep students busy throughout the Busch Gardens park, and Mzinga Lodge also includes outdoor areas for play and team building activities.
Busch Gardens provides all meals. Breakfast is continental style. Most other meals are eaten at park restaurants, with kid-friendly foods ranging from burgers and spaghetti to fajitas and pizza. We will accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice. (For complex dietary needs, you are welcome to bring your own non-perishable food supplements.)
Safe and Secure
SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Adventure Camps are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). ACA-accredited camps must meet up to 300 standards for health, safety, and program quality. SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Adventure Camps exceed ACA standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable camp experience.
Campers are supervised 24 hours a day by our safety-trained camp counselors. Our rigorous selection process assures that our counselors are among the best in the industry. Prospective counselors undergo in-depth interviews to assess their skills in communication, organization, behavior management, and safety. They are background-checked, security-cleared and drug-tested. Once hired, camp counselors receive extensive and ongoing training and education.
Emergency medical personnel and security officers are on-site at our parks 24 hours a day. Counselors are First Aid- and CPR-certified, and trained on AEDs (automated external defibrillators), which are accessible for all on-site and off-site activities. Camp lifeguards are certified by a national certifying agency (American Red Cross, National Safety Council or YMCA) and supervise all water activities. |
